Evengun people will incorrectly refer to a .22 LR as a "Twenty-two Long," but the .22 Long is a distinct rimfire cartridge in between the .22 Short and the .22LR as I explained above. A "Twenty-two Hornet" is a centerfire cartridge, as is the "Twenty-two Two-fifty," which is substantially larger than the Hornet.
